Job Purpose

As Pre-Sales & Solutions Architect you are responsible for Tenders Management & Solution Design. You have the end to end responsibility for delivering the offer that meets the customers needs, budget & timing.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • You engage prospects & customers (voice of the customers sessions, presentations and demonstrations of solutions, …).
  • You enjoy customer facing time as well as early stage solution design.
  • You support Key Account Managers as well as end customers in taking a key design & advisory role.
  • You answer RFP/RFQ/Tenders for projects and are responsible for Bid Management (this might involve managing virtual teams & liaison with external suppliers)
  • You provide technical support to Key Account Managers during the solution positioning and proposal negotiation.
  • You take the lead in finding the best solution design for prospects & customers (delivering attractive offers that fits their needs, budget and timeframe).
  • To do so (all the above) you teams up with a group of engineers within the (Pre) Sales Department.
  • Please note that the actual implementation of your design will be done by other teams
  • The role is reporting directly to the Pre-sales Unit Manager

Competencies & Behaviors

Essential Criteria’s

  • Industrial engineer in electronics or ICT or a technical Master’s degree
  • A T-Shape IT profile with at least 5 year experience in Network & Servers environment
  • Strong interest & knowledge of IP networks (Voice over IP & or Video over IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, software platforms…)
  • Designing, Scoping & Validating solutions with external parties (Suppliers)
  • Knowledge of Visio, MS Word, Powerpoint and XLS
  • Customer Centricity & Ability to engage customers (Face to face & remote)
  • Strong Listening & Communication skills (both verbally and in written)
  • Ability to demonstrate Empathy with stakeholders (Customers in particular)
  • Strong organisational skills (autonomy & ability to deal with deadlines)
  • Open minded & Results focused mindset
  • Professional mastery of Dutch (C1 to C2)

Considered as an advantage

  • Experience with public sector
  • Fluency in French and / or English
  • Prior IT & Software Integration experience.
